The Presidium of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova has the honor to inform the scientific community and the representatives of the academic, cultural, and educational spheres that, on June 12, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., the Blue Hall of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova will host the Festive Meeting marking the 65th Anniversary of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova and the 80th Anniversary of the establishment of the first academic-type research institutes in the Republic of Moldova.
The event will bring together members of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova and designated members of the ASM Sections, prominent personalities of scientific and cultural life, as well as guests of honor from the country and abroad.
We will be honored by the presence of Prof. Randy Schekman, Nobel Laureate in Physiology or Medicine, University of California, Berkeley, USA, Honorary Member of the ASM, Doctor Honoris Causa of the “Nicolae Testemițanu” State University of Medicine and Pharmacy; Prof. Klaus Mainzer, President of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts, based in Salzburg; Acad. Marius Andruh, President of the Romanian Academy; Prof. Bogdan Ciucă, President of the Academy of Legal Sciences of Romania; Acad. Asaf Hajiyev, Secretary General of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation, as well as other distinguished personalities.
The festive meeting will provide an opportunity to evoke the contribution of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova to the development of research, culture, education and innovation, as well as to reaffirm its role in promoting scientific excellence, authentic values and the integration of the scientific community of the Republic of Moldova into the European and international area of knowledge.
